MAIN CONFERENCEVIEW DESCRIPTION
Forbes recently said healthcare is more at risk of cyber attacks than any other industry. The push to digitize medical records and other data, including identity, insurance, and financial information, has spawned system design flaws, sloppy data handling, and everything in between.
Likewise, 911 communication centers in many communities use outdated technology that is vulnerable to terrorists or hackers who could overwhelm the system, preventing 911 telecommunicators from answering or dispatching actual emergency calls. Many of these facilities have significant exposed risks that can lead to breaches. This session outlines key risks and strategies to employ to reduce your agency’s risk of a digital attack.
Frank Gresh, MS, is the Chief Information Officer of the Emergency Medical Services Authority, Tulsa/Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
