The adrenaline rush that moves EMS caregivers to action during stressful situations may also be compromising their very existence. The same is true for EMS leaders even after they’ve moved out of the field. How you manage stress and control over your life can be a series of life-or-death decisions.
While teaching full time and researching her dissertation in math education, Dr. Katie Nall searched for methods to assist students in overcoming fear, anxiety and stress triggered by studying math and taking tests. She found … nothing. Undaunted, Dr. Nall continued looking until she came across a solution. She soon realized that it had useful implications well beyond helping students take math tests and she began sharing the method around the world, helping audiences and clients reduce and eliminate crippling emotions like fear, anxiety, and stress.
Dr. Nall’s experience working in educational institutions, non-profits, faith communities and businesses gives her the breadth of experience to relate to professionals in a variety of fields. She received her Ph.D. from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a certified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner.
